Love Your Happy Face

i have been long time not post on this blog, today i would like to share a step by step instruction on my layout "Love Your Happy Face", and hope you love it and can be inspired.

most of the time i would like to start my page with papers, i will then go to my drawers and pick out some photos and embellishments which can match the color scheme.

after gather all the stuff, i started to plan my page. as i would like to add some more texture on my background paper, i used a doily stamp which can match with the sticker i chose. i stamped on the paper with embossing ink and heat emboss with queen gold embossing powder, this can give the background a little bit more texture and color. i stamped two times on the opposite corners of the paper.

when the background ready, i put the photos and embellishments on, i used glossy accents to glue the flowers on (i love use glossy accents for 3D embellishments as this is super strong).

i placed a ribbon bow across the bunch of flowers which make them like a bouquet. in order to stop ribbon from fraying at the ends, remember to apply clear glue or clear nail polish.

add your title, subtitle and journaling on the places your have planned, i die cut the title from foam sheet (i use sizzix XL bigz die - block talk) for the title on this layout, i love the reverse "LOVE" sooooo much :)

materials used
paper: crate paper; stamp: papermania; flowers: petaloo; embossing ink: ranger; embossing powder: ranger; glue: glossy accents; ribbon: local store; sticker: crate paper; foam alphabets: die cut foam sheets from local store; alphabet die cut: sizzix; cardstock alphabet stickers: basic grey; adhesive: scotch, glue dots

hope you like it and thanks for stopping by

Europe scrapbook album

after i finished the last taipei album, i started to think about making another album also for a trip, then i immediately think of my europe trip many many years ago with my friends. we stayed in europe for a whole month, we took a lot a lot of pictures, i think more than 600, i started organizing the photos, but how can i put all those precious moments in one album!

this album i bought from a paper store in hk which already includes few pre make pages, so i place those photos that i like so much in the first few pages.

the pre make pages are quite nice and neat,  i can follow some of the frame and amend a little bit that i can place more photos in it, i also put some stickers which come from the album as well. like the last album, i separate some photos in a "transport" categories which was a very important part in the trip, because we have to take a lot of different kind of transport going through six countries in europe.

after these few pages, i started the journey, first stop is italy, as the last album, i put a lot of photos in a page and also the bus tickets, train tickets and the post card which i bought there, i think this is a good way that i can show off those beautiful post cards.

you can find a photos size journaling in the page, this is taken out from the old photo album which i insert together with the photos, this fit the pocket, i dont want to waste it and write again, i put together now in the pages as well, this is also part of the memories.

heading to swiss, this is a very very nice place and i love swiss so much. when thinking of swiss, i always think of the color blue because of the ice color and of course the beautiful sky color as well, so i use blue as the background color for the part of swiss (may be you can find that i use red for those pages for the part of italy). in the pages of swiss, can you find out the telephone card and the coaster?

i dont want to have hundred pages in an album (of course cannot), i tried to use 4 pages for each place, so i need to through away some photos which is quite the same.

since we stayed a shorter time in holland, it comes out only two pages which i highlighted the two important visiting point in holland, but i still putting the tickets and also some of the tour map cut outs in the pages, its fun.

we have been legoland in windsor, this is a very happy funny place, we took a lot of funny pictures there, i really want to put them all in the album.  i punched out many circles and put in the pages which i wanted to arrange the page like the pattern of a piece of lego brick, i love this bright color which can make the pages more shinny and funny.

can you see any different in these few pages? may be you will find they are more neat with planning and arrangement in the pages, these few pages which are an important milestone in my scrapbooking life. i start to learn scrapbooking online and also bought some paper from HK Memory Chest, the paris paper just fit my pages travelling in paris.  i like these pages, its look more neat but still can includes many photos as well as the tickets.

the big photo in one of the pages is taken by the park when we were riding the roller coaster (i think you must have some at home), they are always quite expensive but you will buy it anyway, scrapbook page is a very good way to show off this kind of photos which is always big enough that you cannot put inside the pockets of normal photo album.  you can see i put also the packing cut outs in the pages which is a very good embellishment.

at the end of the album, i put the air ticket slips onto the last page of the album cover, its nice to have the alphabet stickers which are so colorful, "to be continue......", seems something wrong here :(

My first scrapbook album

My first album is recording the trip of only me and my son few years ago, i didn't start my scrapbooking life at that time, the pages are not really planned, but they include most of my photos taken during the trip, its fun.

i print all the photos with my home document printer, some of them cut out only the face in order i can squeeze inside the pages, but i love to stick all the tickets inside the album as well, i even use one of the site map as the background of a page.

I love one of the background that i print on A4 paper in brown and white, this give a very touching color for the page. i also include some of the shopping paper bag in the pages that shows where i buy the stuff.

some of the pages are quite messy with no any plan, but it is still fun that you can see a lot of pictures inside.

i like the pages that i separately from those in the front, i mark them into categories "transportation" "food' and "funny things", the "funny things" page is the most i like, every time i see the page and the description i will laugh.

hope you enjoy this funny toddler album, but just because of this album, my scrapbooking life begin...

I'm Belly Ma, I love scrapbooking!

Hi, I'm Belly Ma, a mother of two children, a boy and a girl.

I LOVE SCRAPBOOKING!!!

How and why did I start scrapbooking?
Three years ago, I ordered an album online and when it arrived, I found that it is a scrapbook album. I had no idea how to use it so I put it away and forgot about it.  Few months later, I had a trip to Taipei with my son, we took a lot of photos and I wanted to use that album keep the photos. I started off with some basic tools like, paper, stickers, scissors and glue which I bought from local stationery stores. I had so much fun making it and I couldn't wait to share the finished album with my friends and families. They like it a lot and enjoy reading it like a storybook.

After finishing my first scrapbook album, I tried to find out more supplies both online and in local stores. I found that there are a lot of scrapbook supplies and ideas out there. I just jumped right in to this hobby and that's how my scrapbooking journey started.

What are the greatest grains from scrapbooking?
My kids love looking at our albums with me. It makes the time we spent together more fulfilling and enjoyable.

People nowadays can take photos and store them easily. Scrapbooking then become a way to preserve all those wonderful moments and memories in our life through the use of photographs, memorabilia, journaling and embellishments.  I hope scrapbooking could become more popular and common to the general public, since a lot people underestimated the value of memory keepsakes and seeing scrapbooking as a crafty hobby just for ladies.
